Workahol explores our intoxication with Work. The socially constructed separation of work and play deepens and the escalation of overwork with its long hours, underpay, busywork and the precarity of employment encultures a state of survival anxiety, exhaustion and  distraction.  All this and a puffy sense of individualised responsibility for our financial losses and the need to work even harder. Workahol helps maintain a compliant all-consuming citizenry that unearned power depends upon.
