A golden object floats in the dark emitting sparkles of light as it slowly spins in space –the blackness mystifying the real relations of its production. This reverential signifier common to High Art documentaries is used here to record a man-made object: a golden metallic scouring pad imbuing it with a sense of camp religious awe and beauty usually reserved for precious relics from a lost civilization.
